On the evening of June 2nd, a bunch of supercells fired along the dryline in the west Texas panhandle. Not an atypical sight for that part of the state this time of year. However, the storm that formed east of Happy, Texas had a surprise up it's sleeve.

A very serious hail storm impacted areas of Northern Austria on June 9th. Over 40 reports of hail were made to the European Severe Storms Laboratory for these storms. A good number of these reports were between 6 cm and 7 cm in diameter (approx. 2.5").

What happens to your hail mapping software if there’s no radar data?  Thankfully, this situation doesn’t happen all that often. But on the early morning of April 2nd of 2024, during one of the most active severe weather days so far this year (see SPC outlook and storm
